Byron Bay Go-Guide.

She’s a mum, a surfer, a swimwear designer, a yoga teacher… and Eve Miskin knows Byron Bay like the back of her hand.

Splitting her time between homes in Sydney and Wategoes Beach, Eve started surfing about ten years ago – it’s now a daily ritual  - and launched her swim label Miskini just last year.

I’m obsessed with her swimsuits because they’re simple and sexy – no frills or bows – with a good, classic fit. The Carmen Bikini top is a life changer.

Eve’s fabulous and her life inspiring – here she shares her (local’s) guide to Byron Bay.

All About Eve.

Describe your swimwear label in three words.
Timeless, elegant, active.

Describe your personal style.
Living between two incredible locations, I notice my style change. Byron Bay has me beachy-chic, with a laid back feel. When I arrive in Sydney, it’s time to throw on some heels.

What made you start your own swimwear label?
I spend most of my time in the water and have always been an avid surfer. Swimwear is one of my lifelong passions, but I used to find it increasingly difficult to find ‘the one’, that perfect swimsuit that will offer a great silhouette, support and style.  From here, Miskini was born. My hope is that Miskini will now become ‘the one’ for many more women to come.

Tell us about your career path.
My background has been hugely focused on sports and exercise, with teaching yoga for 18 years. I lived abroad for 10 years, where I explored painting, photography and often visited exotic locations. I feel this is where I developed an eye for colour and design.

What’s the most treasured piece of clothing in your closet?
An Azzedine Alaia dress I bought from Parlour X in Sydney’s Paddington. It shapes and moulds my body like an hourglass. Whenever I put it on I instantly feel sexy and feminine.

Confession time, what’s in your closet that you’ve never worn?
There are a few designer dresses hanging in my closet that I have held onto, waiting for the right opportunity to wear… but six years on, they are still hanging there!

What are the three pieces you find yourself wearing constantly when you’re in Byron Bay?
A Miskini bikini, a pair of white shorts and Havaianas.
