No one actually needs more than forty five minutes to get ready (for anything) and yet there are so few moments to get dressed up in life that when we have red carpet moments – weddings, balls etc – we can’t help but indulge in the build-up. It’s the fun part of being a girl.

What I Wore (Weekend).
This is what I wore last Friday – gosh it was comfortable. I love the mixed textures – cashmere with stiff treated cotton with leather – and the colour combination – oatmeal with true tan with gold.

In love with this jacket. I’ve never owned something in this colour khaki before – it reminds me of Sicilian olives – and it’s such a cool change from black and brown. Every time I wear an animal print I think about Jerry Hall in the Roxy Music clip for ‘Lets Stick Together’. She put the chic in leopard, tiger and zebra.
