Love This Hair!
Blessed Are The Meek was my last show and it had a fabulous, sea-scrunched fish braid and lots of hair pieces. Just how I like hair – unworked and cool. The make-up was lovely too. The Hair Director. Hair by Todd Arndt for Pureology. A new spin on the braid trend saw a cascading waterfall READ MORE…
Take My Breath Away.
There is only one Akira Isogowa. He is quite simply a genius. I remember his first group show and the excitement that ran through the audience – it was the first time I ever experienced a true fashion moment. The discovery of someone so special. Akira closed fashion week in the same manner as Jenny READ MORE…
Gowns To Go Dreaming In.
Carl Kapp makes lovely, dreamy clothes. The End. Last nights show was Kapp’s biggest to date and he showed a collection worthy of the large space. This year they needed to back it up – minus the tricks – and they did. Showing a well-edited, wearable collection of soft botanical print dresses, pants and unstructured jackets. The READ MORE…
Frocks And The City.
With an outdoor runway, the Magdalena Velevska show was staged harbourside against a sun setting on the cities skyscrapers. It provided not only one of my favourite instagram shots of the week but was absolutely my favourite location. Acid yellow, soft white, structure and sculpture – the collection was full of restrained pieces for the minimalist dresser. READ MORE…
