The $5 Hair Trick.
Quick. Simple. Stunning. Practically free. Living for this look from Cacharel’s A/W ’12 Paris show. Coloured bobby pins clipped in a row like barrettes. Genius. The hair was styled into a low, soft and knotted bun at the nape of the neck. Then to keep the hair from falling over the model’s face, given the READ MORE…
Hair How To: The Up-Braid.
I’m very into up styles at the moment. Obsessed actually. So much easier than the whole blow dry catastrophe. I love ponytails – they are my go-to style – but I wanted to explore some other options that are a more special for evening alternative. Enter Antonio Corral Calero, International Artistic Director for Moroccanoil. Ridiculously good READ MORE…
Love This Hair!
Love this crunchy wet look hair from the Michael Lo Sordo show. Little bit Elvis, little bit Madonna in the Cherish video – masculine but sexy at the same time Inspiration: It’s about a strong power woman who is confident in her femininity. It’s a wet look hairstyle straight off the face featuring a low knot. Get the READ MORE…
The Donut Bun.

I asked editorial session stylist Michele McQuillan to create a modern, top knot that was high on impressive but looooow on maintenance. I also didn’t allow her to use a hair dryer or anything that required electricity.
The Messy BlowOut.
It’s one of the things I love about being in Paris – all the unworked hair. The Parisian women have a certain messiness to their locks that screams cool. At L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, the Runway 6 Show had hair with the kind of polished, unpolish that I love. L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Director, Brad Ngata READ MORE…
Jenny With A Bob.
So Jennifer’s cut her hair and I’m not really feeling it. But I am feeling for her. Imagine your bob making news? Her hair is more famous than Justin Bieber’s. Actually more famous than her. Do you like it? Here’s what peoplemagazine.com reported: Jennifer Aniston has bid goodbye to the long layers that have been READ MORE…
The Faux Bob (Part 2)
In a effort to look a little more polished this party season (it’s a Mad Men world after all) I asked editorial session stylist Michele McQuillan to create a couple of easy styles that are high on impressive but looooow on maintenance. Looks that don’t require flat irons, blow dryers, tongs and time. This is the second part of an instructional video READ MORE…
Great Moments in Film: Ali MacGraw’s Hair
Love may mean never having to say you’re sorry. But hair love surely means long, slinky shiny strands. With apologies to Love Story for the paraphrase! This 1970 movie, which showcased Ali MacGraw in all her glossy-haired glory, is a must-see for anyone who likes to see all the fashion flicks (cue long 1970s stripy READ MORE…
