Peplums are back – in a big way. It’s had the ’80s wrung out of it and become winter’s most sophisticated silhouette.

Poor second, third, fourth etc babies the first just seems to get a little bit extra energy and attention..when there’s only one to focus on it’s just easier. So Saturday was all about revamp. I moved beds, changed soft furnsihings, added some of her art and a little bit of girly but more grown-up attitude.

This is what I wore last Friday – gosh it was comfortable. I love the mixed textures – cashmere with stiff treated cotton with leather – and the colour combination – oatmeal with true tan with gold.

Long time besties, Gail Elliott and Yasmin Le Bon, first bonded in the eighties when the word ‘supermodel’ was coined and they were both one. I spoke to them about friendship, modelling, men and then had the BFF’s pick out an outfit for each other. Which means if you like – you may copy.

From one of my favourite food blogs – the awesome Toasty Biscuit – comes this Friday baking treat. Children, husbands, friends and foes alike will love this crazy slice. It’s the hazelnut and banana combo that makes it so moresih. It’s a snitch to make – let me know how you go.

Mad about these babies. First spotted one last year (neon yellow) on very stylish Fashion PR, Holly Garber. She made them look sophisticated and now I think we all might need one – classic with a twist. But which colour…?

In love with this jacket. I’ve never owned something in this colour khaki before – it reminds me of Sicilian olives – and it’s such a cool change from black and brown.
