One of the lovely things about my job is that sometimes I get given lovely things.
In the most unexpected of places at the most unexpected of times.
The t-shirt I’m wearing today is one of those lovely things. It was a front row gift from the Zimmermann S/S 2011 show which commemorated 20 years of the brand. (that collection is in store now BTW and the white lace is heaven)
I confess I’ve hadn’t worn it. It was also maybe still wrapped in tissue paper. But it’s gone to Number One With A Bullet on my list of favourite things. Featherlight and soft, the print is a nice change to my usual white or grey tee.
Graphics are hard to wear but everywhere this season. A t-shirt is a low commitment nod to the trend if you want to dip your toe in the water.
The jacket is Vanessa Bruno from forever ago. It’s slouchy which suits the t-shirt and I love the purple silk lining. My skirt is from Lisa Ho.
You may have noticed that I have a thing for coloured bags. Particularly in the summer. I’m trying to use a different bag everyday. I bought this one back when I was editing CLEO (so around 2003-4).
It’s Veronica Ostro , a local designer who came into the office to show the fashion team the range and I liked it so much that I bought one.- I don’t think she makes handbags anymore? Veronica if you’re out there let me know.
Another red bag that I’m coveteing is the Oroton Akala Mini Bag. Tiny bit retro. A lot sexy.
The shoes are Alexander Wang. Bought them in LA last year. They’re so soft and sexy to wear. I love the Chloe Perch Trimmed Sandal from his current collection. Similar vibe.
