I wanted an unstructured look for the end of a crazy week. I needed fabrics and easy pieces that would float with my mood (which has been a little bit bouncy).
I like wearing metallics in the same way I wear other neutral colours like tan, cream or grey. It’s important not to over-think gold and silver – use them casually and by their shiny nature they’ll dress up the simplest outfit. These short are a blend of gold and silver depending on the light with a great glitter matte finish. For evening I’d loose the jacket, add a necklace and feel instantly cocktail.
When I interviewed Whitney Port during Fashion Week she was actually wearing this jacket (from her own label Whitney Eve). I coveted it then and filed it under Must-Buy. The waterfall lapel and the summer-light fabric make it the perfect throw-over-anything coat.
Don’t get me started on how good it will be for travel…

Love this black, faux-croc clutch. It’s a great size – fits my essentials and is practically free.
CLICK TO BUY: Miss Co Croc Envelope Clutch, $24.99.

The t-bar on these shoes makes them super flattering because it draws a virtual line all the way up your leg. Love the patent trim too.
CLICK TO BUY: Steve Madden Maagie Heels, $149.95.
I’ve resisted buying these frames for several seasons. Why??? Nicole Richie style staple – The Chelsea from her House of Harlow label – I am obsessed. They are The Business.
CLICK TO BUY: House Of Harlow 1960 Chelsea Sunglasses from StyleTread, $169.
Super cute letter bracelets. I bought an ‘E’ and an ‘L’ (for my daughters) – I love how fine they are. Great Christmas presents.
CLICK TO BUY: Recreational Initial Pendant Bracelet in E & L, $39 each.
