I’ve known Jodi Gordon since she was a baby in the business and she’s grown into such a gorgeous, gracious woman.
I love looking at her in clothes, love that big, genuine smile and the big, genuine heart that matches it.
Jodi really knows (and loves) her fashion and has developed a super-polished personal style. We went behind-the-scenes on the shoot for her latest collaboration with designer Charlie Brown to talk fashion do’s, dont’s and what she’ll be packing for her honeymoon.
Where did your passion for fashion begin?
I have always been interested in fashion and how people put their outfits together. I truly think it’s a reflection of who we are and what message we want to portray. And of course I loved dressing up in my mum’s clothes as a kid!!
How would you describe your own style?
Day, weather, work permitting….clean cut & elegant…..in saying that I always feel best when I dress a little sexy. When I say sexy…I mean: leather, black, blazer etc (NOT a short tight dress).
What’s your favourite designer right now?
What inspires you?
These days I like to find inspiration from wherever I can. A painting, a book, a mag, people, the sky, the weather, my family, my fiancé, my friends, a song……
Who’s your style icon?
Can’t go past the ultimate- Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
What three pieces in your wardrobe do you find yourself wearing constantly?
Leather pants. Ballet flats with little studs. V-neck sweaters.
What is the most treasured piece of clothing in your closet?
My new Burberry Trench. I don’t often indulge to that extent but it was a personal achievement present!
What’s in your wardrobe that you’ve never worn?
A McQueen black rouched top- I will wear it one day when it feels good! (Back to my rule… If in doubt don’t do it! Ha)
What’s the best lesson you’ve learned about fashion?
Less is more.
Top 5 style tips?
1. Understand your body and shape.
2. Find pieces that compliment you.
3. Figure out what colours you look best in.
4. Educate yourself…. books, mags, videos
5. If in doubt, don’t do it!
What fashion rule do you live by?
None. Fashion is fashion… anything goes.

Getting To Know Charlie.
Tell us about the collaboration with Charlie Brown?
She is such an iconic Australian brand that has been around for many years. I love what her designs are all about….BOLD, SEXY, COLOURFUL, STRONG, PLAYFUL!
What are your favourite pieces in the Spring/Summer collection?
It’s hard to narrow it down. I’m absolutely in love with Charlie’s sequined kaftan style dresses. Beautiful colours and flattering! Also her full-length fitted dresses are sooooo sexy! I’ll be wearing both of these as much as possible on my honeymoon.

Charlie has the most fantastic, honest, vivacious personality that cracks up an entire room!
