I love shorts. They straddle cool, practical, casual, corporate – ticks all the boxes.

Leather shorts are on another level – it’s the texture, the Kate Moss effect – done right they are Da Bomb.

I was wearing them in April before the weather turned and am ready to bust them out again.

Best in neutral – black, beige, tan – I prefer them styled Alexander Wang style with an oversized knit or worn dressier with a blazer and heel.

Opt for a style that has some structure – waist band, pockets, pleating – and buy them so they hug not snug your body. Yes, they will give a little (not as much as pants) but these aren’t booty shorts – you want a classic sports luxe silhouette.
