Every so often in fashion a dress, a necklace, a shoe comes along and simply takes your breathe away. Gives you goose bumps.
So it was at Toni Maticevski’s Spring Summer 2012 show last Friday. Epic location – the Everleigh Markets in Darlington - organza confetti on the runway, beautiful music and then amazing, exquisite clothes.
Toni M is known for his couture gowns – pleated, delicate, restrained – but what I loved about Friday’s collection was that he incorporated his Ready-To-Wear (jackets, cigarette pants) alongside the major dresses.
There was feathers, sea-urchin poms-poms, flowers, trains, colour – words don’t do it justice, pictures do a far better job. Here’s a peek backstage pre-show.
