The Edit
Sass & Bide Colour Pop.
Last night, sass & bide’s debuted their AW 2001 collection at London Fashion week. Called Boogie & The Historymaker, the show was full of colour, bold prints, ruffles, taffeta, big swinging skirts and ponchos. Inspired by the girls travels through Morocco, Laos and Paris the collection screamed good energy and good times. “We just wanted it to be happy,” Sarah-Jane Clarke said. “There’s our signature clashing of prints but hopefully it’s still quite elegant.”
Anna Watch.
Forget the runways, I want to know what Anna’s been wearing. The Autumn/Winter collections are my favourite for Anna Watching because there’s more fashion for her to wear. Cold weather equals layers and layers usually means some sick coats and boots. Here’s a sample of her wardrobe thus far – and we haven’t even got to Paris yet
Elle UK Style Awards
I love a red carpet but particularly one that is awarding style because the celebrities try extra hard with their looks. At this weeks UK Elle Style Awards the fashion was a lot less less Hollywood – casual and cool. Style winners included supermodels and pop stars but the top award went to Brit ‘It’ Chick READ MORE…
Hot & Not: Grammy’s Red Carpet
The Grammy’s is the best red carpet of the year. No one plays it safe. It’s all eggs, animal print and tranny heels. My favourites were Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Nicki Minaj & Ciara in Pucci. And Gaga’s side ponytail.
Hot & Not: Elle Style Awards
I love a red carpet but particularly one that is awarding style – the celebrities try so hard. The UK Elle Style Awards held earlier this week is exactly that – fashion awards (that are taken seriously) and even better, in the UK where the fashion is less Hollywood and much cooler.
White Shirts. An Old Classic Just Became Modern. Again.
White shirts are the new navy and white striped tee. Say Buh-Bye to nautical and Hello to another wardrobe classic as the white shirt gets re-heated and served up for summer. We’ve all got one in our closet (or his) – it’s just about finding the right way to wear it. For me, it’s over-sized and at the beach. Here is some inspiration from celebrities who have got it right.
Hot & Hot: David Jones Red Carpet
There was no Miranda or Abbey Lee but there was still plenty of pretty. The red carpet was packed with starlets and big names like Dannii Minogue (who was debuting her collection called Project D) and Melissa George (in town as the face of LLMF) but my favourite was Megan Gale – she’s looking the best I have ever seen her. Smoking. Hot
Style Crush: Jessica Hart
I’ve known Jessica since she was about fourteen and have always been a mad fan of that gap-tooth grin. Now I’m a mad fan of her wardrobe. I don’t know what it is but there’s something about her look that reminds me of a young Diane Keating. It’s edgy but intelligent. She’s my new style crush
