I was in Melbourne last night at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival for the Alex Perry show. Big, big building, big, big runway, big, big gowns and a smoking hot Megan Gale – who returned to the catwalk to open and close his show.

The clothes are only one piece of the magic that is a Chanel show. The pre-show buzz is a true fashion experience. Staged in the Grand Palais under epic glass domes, the scale of the everything is simply awesome. I took my camera along this morning to try and capture a little of the very special Chanel pre-show circus.

The make-up at the Emanuel Ungaro show was one of my favourites because of the big, black, shiny lashes. Directed by the fabulous Lucia Pieroni for M.A.C, she used two full sets of false lashes to get the look. I went backstage to find out how.

New York Fashion Week has been and gone – London kicks off today.
