I love to wear yellow – fluoro in particular- but it’s not a colour I’ve ever really thought about using on my face. But that’s all changing after the pretty pop of sunshine M.A.C make-up artist, Nicole Thompson used on the models eyes at the Bianca Spender Spring/Summer 2012 show.
Thompson told me “Yellow is a universally flattering tone, particularly when it comes to eye colours – no matter what your shade it instantly refreshes your eyes- it can even make you look younger.”
Refresh and younger – I like both of those words.
Nicole gave me strict instructions “Just as if you were doing a bright lip, or a really smoky eye – keep everything else really simple. Clear, creamy skin, a nude lipgloss and then just use your finger to pat a tiny bit of yellow onto the lid – you don’t need to go right up to the brow and make it over the top, you’re just adding a pop of colour.”
