There is only one Akira Isogowa. He is quite simply a genius.
I remember his first group show and the excitement that ran through the audience – it was the first time I ever experienced a true fashion moment. The discovery of someone so special.
Akira closed fashion week in the same manner as Jenny Kee with an incredible installation show that displayed all of his skill and incredible use of print, tradition and modern lines.
Some very seasoned fashion critics even cried. That’s says everything.
Take your time with this gallery. It’s art.
Three different hair and make-up looks were created for Akira’s Spring/Summer 12 show. Here’s the low-down on the hair.
