Throughout fashion week, models skin gets more poked and prodded more than a puppy in a pet shop window. Throw in four or five serious make-up changes per day, eating on the hop and five hours sleep per night and it starts to show on their faces by the end of Day One.
This year, Dermalogica joined forces with Kirrily Johnson to change how it’s done. At her show this afternoon, a skin saviour station was set up and every model was given a mini facial treatment which included a double cleanse, subtle skin resurfacing and super skin-smoothing, hydrating products to prime their faces and give some TLC.
In a very nice touch, models including this weeks star walkers Samantha Harris, Myf Shepherd and Louise Van Der Vorst pocketed a Dermalogica UltraCalming Skin Kit to use for the rest of the week. I overheard one poor model eagerly asking the Dermalogica team: “Are you here at every show?”.
Poor things – they wish.
